Karla Jean Tumlinson Huber, 50, of Cross Timbers, formerly of Marshall, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery north of Marshall. Born May 14, 1959, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late William Perry Tumlinson and Ruth A. Davis Tumlinson. She had lived in Cross Timbers the past two years, previously living in Decatur, Ala., and was raised in Marshall. She was a certified medical technician and had worked in nursing homes.
Survivors include one son, Quentin Vaughn Huber II and wife, Crystal, of Cross Timbers; one daughter, Melanie King and husband, Tom, of Weaubleau; six grandchildren, Alex, Taylor, Payton and Bryce Huber and Joseph and David King; four sisters, Donna Arnold of Marshall, Penny Inskeep of Humansville, Renee Newman of Virginia Beach, Va., and Kelly Ivy of Franklin; one half-brother, Ronnie Tumlinson of Slater; one half-sister, Joyce Holland of rural Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Quentin Vaughn Huber Sr.; one son, Joey Huber; one brother in infancy; and longtime companion, Leroy Seamster.
