Pamela Gale Geer, 60, of Marshall, formerly of Sedalia, died Monday, March 22, 2010, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Tatkenhorst and Rev. Jeremy Freeman officiating. Pallbearers will be Matt Franklin, Ty Franklin, Bob Wheeler, Chuck Ziegelbein, Rick Ziegelein and Pat Ziegelbein. Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday, March 26. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to the service. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in order to establish an education fund for her grandson, Brody, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. Born Nov. 8, 1949, in Sedalia, she was the daughter of Eugene and Irma (Ziegelbein) Gerrish. On Nov. 30, 1968. in Tulsa, Okla., she married Rick Geer, who survives. She was raised in Sedalia and was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She went to work right out of high school and held financial positions at Beneficial, David Malmo Motors and, most recently, Third National Bank, where she was a VP/Manager of Consumer Loans. She took great pride in her work and was passionate about serving her customers. Her joy was spending time with her grandson; however, she also enjoyed cooking and flower gardening. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her mother, Irma Gerrish, of Sedalia; a son, Sean Geer, and grandson Brody, of Kansas City; her fiancÚ, Rory Franklin, of Marshall, and his sons, Matt Franklin, of Marshall, and Ty Franklin, of Columbia; a brother, Randy Gerrish, of Sedalia; and two nephews, Ryan Gerrish and Joshua Gerrish.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Gerrish.
