Sedalia-Central Missouri Sales Company: Cattle Auction Report for 03/22/2010

Receipts: 111 One Week Ago: 700 Year Ago: 950

Compared to last week, there were too few feeders on this weather
market test to establish a trend. With an early spring snow storm on
Saturday, supply was very light. Demand moderate. Slaughter cows traded
3.00-4.00 higher also on a light test. While field conditions were
improving up till the storm, this was another set-back for early field
work. Cows and bulls were 33 percent of receipts. In the feeder supply,
steers and bulls were 45 percent of the run; heifers 55 percent. Near
9 percent of feeders weighed over 600 lbs.
