Clifton "Leon" Breshears, 64, of rural Marshall, died Monday, March 15, 2010, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation was held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born June 2, 1945, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Alford Clifton Breshears and Ina May Sapp Breshears. On Jan. 18, 1964, he married Judy Surber, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall his entire life and retired from Marshall Special Road District.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Mona Wetzel and husband, Danny, of rural Slater, and Leonda Sprague of Marshall; three grandchildren, Sammy Jo Bartlett, Chelsea Lopez and husband, Ismael, and Allie Sprague; one great-granddaughter, Alejandra Lopez; two sisters, Patsy Poppinga of Sweet Springs and Deborah Franklin of Marshall; two brothers, Stanley Breshears of Boonville and Billy Breshears of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
