Southern District Commissioner Richard "Dick" Hassler said he knows that many roads are in a state of disrepair, but the problems won't be completely solved until the weather improves.
"People are going to have to bear with us," he said. " ... We've got to have some dry weather, and it's got to warm up."
Hassler said commissioners and county road commissioners inspected some of the county roads Wednesday, March 10.
Northern District Commissioner Norvelle "Brownie" Brown was also present at the meeting. Presiding Commissioner Becky Plattner was absent due to commitments with the Missouri Conservation Commission.
The commission's next regularly scheduled meeting is Tuesday, March 16, at 9 a.m. in the lower level of the courthouse.

I feel bad for the folks that live on the North Wildcat Road...that is the worst I have seen out there!
I was impressed with the fact that gravel had been added to rural county roads at the time they started thawing out. It's obvious there was some attention to some of the worst areas. Some of the remote roads I accessed by car with care the first required 4-wheel drive.
In driving the rural roads north of Emma and Sweet Spribngs, I noticed a number of the E911 road signs had gone missing. Or were they there in the first place?
I was happy to hear that they tried to repair roads today,I have been hard on them boys in the past , I understand after watching road crews in nearby county in front of sisters farm. They would repair fifty feet of road but mess up fifty feet on each side of it they were just moving mud around. So I am sorry for any undue criticism in the past
thats right. if the rock trucks come out too soon, they'll do more damage than good.
