Warrant issued for Marshall teen

An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday, March 10, for Victor J. Fugate, 19, of Marshall, in connection with an incident involving a child under the age of 15.

Fugate is charged with class A misdemeanor sexual misconduct in the first degree. The warrant asks a cash or surety bond of $5,000.

According to an incident report filed with the probable cause statement, Fugate had inappropriate sexual contact with the minor child of a female acquaintance.

Unofficial online court records indicate Fugate has prior convictions for burglary, theft and property damage. A court appearance has not been scheduled; Fugate is in custody at Saline County Justice Facility.

Charges contained in reports provided by law enforcement officials are not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting charges must be presented before a jury, whose duty is to determine if the accused is guilty or not guilty of the charges.

Sounds like this is a case of girl meets boy who is too old for her and the parents bring charges against boy for their "relations".
