"There's some rutty spots out there," he said.
But, the county has received more 2--inch gravel, he said, and has begun to spread it on the roads. After that is complete, 1-inch rock will be added over the top. The process will take some time, however, as the county has more than 400 miles of road to maintain.
"It's going to be rough for a while," Hassler said.
Northern District Commissioner Norvelle "Brownie" Brown was also present at the meeting. Commissioners will meet again Tuesday, March 2, at 9 a.m. in the lower level of the courthouse.
