Slater man hurt in 1-vehicle crash Saturday

Sunday, February 14, 2010

A Slater man suffered moderate injuries Saturday afternoon, Feb. 13, in a one-vehicle crash in Saline County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

William H. Perkins, 65, was taken by ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall for treatment.

The crash occurred about 12:19 p.m. as Perkins was traveling westbound on state Highway 240 about one mile east of state Highway 41, according to the report.

The 2009 Chevrolet he was driving went off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and came to rest, trooper said.

Perkins was not wearing a safety device, according to the report.
