Rosa Venita Gabert, 82, of Marshall, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at Mar-Saline Manor in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Southside Assembly of God in Marshall, with Rev. Cliff Cato and William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Born Feb. 28, 1927, in Mt. Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Clyde H. Perryman and Opal Marie Medley Perryman. On Dec. 3, 1943, she married Russell F. Gabert, who preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2007. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of Southside Assembly of God.
Survivors include one son, Paul F. Gabert and wife, Ronda, of Sumter, S.C.; daughter-in-law, Kay Gabert MacLaughlin, of Blackburn; five grandchildren, Julie Witt, Jonathan Gabert, David Gabert, Bret Gabert and Bart Gabert; 13 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ruby Leap of Kansas City, Doris Cooper of Marshall, Patsy Green of San Clemente, Calif., and Glenda Mesquit of Louisville, Ky.; four brothers, Robert Perryman of Marshall, Douglas Perryman of Overland Park, Kan., Richard Perryman of Seabrook, Texas, and Leonard Perryman of Norwalk, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Stephen Gabert; one sister, Elaine Crawford; and two brothers, Jack Perryman and Charles Perryman.
