Christine Marie Carver, 46, of Marshall, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at her home.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow and Rev. Jerry Scott officiating. Visitation was held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer awareness. Born Jan. 23, 1963, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lee Bowland and Joan Marie Iwanicki Bowland. On June 16, 2001, she married Lenny G. Carver, who survives of the home. She had lived in Marshall her entire life and was a 1981 graduate of Marshall High School. She worked for Marshall Public Schools in the cafeteria for nearly 20 years and later worked for Jackson Brothers Food Service at ConAgra. She was a member of Olivet Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Angela Clause of Clarksville, Ark., Heather Johnson of Cedar Hill and Sara Clause of Marshall; stepmother, Drue Bowland of Raymore; four stepchildren, Jason Carver, Stacey Hunt, Lenny Dale Carver, all of Marshall, and Steven Carver of Ft. Campbell, Ky.; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; three sisters, Catherine Hamilton and Lora Blatt, both of Lenexa, Kan., and Tina Misner of Raymore; one brother, Tom Bowland of Olathe, Kan.; one stepbrother, Raymond Kidd of Raymore; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one stepsister, Linda Roe.
