Margaret "Cookie" Lusby, 67, of Odessa, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Born March 21, 1942, in Orange, Texas, she was the daughter of the late George Edward Davis and Dorothy Jean Campbell Davis. On Feb. 17, 1989, she married Harold K. Lusby, who survives of the home. She retired from the federal government as a payroll technician and later co-owned and operated the Persian Pickle Antique Mall in Grain Valley, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Edwardsville, Ill.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Christine Frye of Odessa, Ron Yager Jr. of rural Higginsville, Lisa Buckler of Odessa, Lori Overstreet of rural Alma; one stepson, Keith Lusby of Republic; two stepdaughters, Kim Hazell of Marshall and Cynthia Donelson of Edwardsville, Ill; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Patty Parson of Oak Grove; one brother, George Edward Davis III of Lee's Summit; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepson, Daniel Thompson "Tom" Lusby.
