Keith Newton, 50, of Marshall, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall, with Fr. Kevin Gormley officiating. Prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall with visitation following from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church or family choice. Born Sept. 5, 1959, in Marshall, he was the son of James Leonard Newton and Janet Lucille Hagedorn Newton, who survive of Marshall. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and was a 1978 graduate of Marshall High School. He worked as a welder for T&S Construction and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He was also a member of Marshall Bow Hunters Club and an avid bowler, bowling in several leagues. He also had served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Melissa Seigfreid and husband, Matt, of Lake Saint Louis and Rachael Newton of Marshall; two grandchildren, Jayelynn Newton and Madison Seigfreid; two sisters, Peggy Brovey of Marshall and Christie Morrow of Sedalia; two nephews, Corey Morrow and Michael Brovey; one niece, Kimberly Brovey Ferrell; two great-nephews; one great-niece; step-children, Renee, Theresa, Jason and Tonya; several step-grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
