Frank Elvice Rose Jr., 66, of Marshall, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at his home.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Mark Gooden officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Glasgow. Memorials may be made to family choice. Born March 22, 1943, in Glasgow, he was the son of the late Frank Elvice Rose and Margaret Josephine Davis Rose. He had lived in the Marshall and Glasgow area his entire life and had worked at ConAgra in Marshall for nearly 40 years, retiring as a plate freezer operator. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed shooting guns.
Survivors include two sons, Guy Mitchell Rose and wife, Rebecca, of Slater and Justin Rose of Columbia; one daughter, Rayetta Leimkuehler and husband, Jerry, of rural Nelson; a special young man raised in the home, Michael Bird of Mexico; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Aulgur and husband, Larry, of Marshall, Sue Walker of Marshall and Dee Anna Garner of Dewey, Okla.; two brothers, Roger Rose of Marshall and Chris Rose of Kansas City; and several nieces and nephews.
