Swift re-appointed to Transportation Advisory Council

At their meeting Wednesday, Dec. 2, Saline County Commissioners reappointed Greg Swift to the county Transportation Advisory Council, part of Pioneer Trails Regional Planning Committee.

Swift will serve another four-year term, Northern District Commissioner Norvelle "Brownie" Brown said.

The council's basic duties are to assess the qualities of roads in Saline County and report back to Missouri Department of Transportation.

"Ours has been very, very active," Brown said, noting that at least eight people are on the council, though the minimum required is six.

Commissioners will meet again Thursday, Dec. 3, at 9 a.m. in the lower level of the courthouse.
