MVC Jingle Bell Jog set for Dec. 5

The 2009 Jingle Bell Jog at Missouri Valley College will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, stepping off at the campus columns on College Street.

This the second year for the event, a 5k run/walk hosted by Valley's cross country and track and field programs. In addition to the 5k event, there is also a team relay competition and a 1-mile "campus crawl."

Participants will be given jingle bells to attach to their shoes and a 2009 Jingle Bell Jog T-shirt, as well as a raffle ticket for prizes that include running gear, gift certificates and an AKC registered puppy.

Teams are encouraged to dress in holiday attire; prizes will be awarded for the top holiday costumes. The top male and female finishers in the 5K run will each receive a pair of Asics running shoes. Prizes will also be awarded to the top team.

The early-bird deadline for registration is Nov. 23. Applications are available online at File Format:
