William H. Hollin, 79, of Marshall, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 12, at 1 p.m. at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Elder Wellington Gorham Jr. will officiate. Bethany Weiker, organist, will play "How Great Thou Art" and "Just a Closer Walk with Thee." Burial with military honors will be in the Mount Moriah Cemetery in Slater. Visitation will be from noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Born April 6, 1930, in St. Louis, he was the only child of Mercedes Hollin, who preceded him in death. Hollin was a U.S. Army veteran and a 1948 graduate of Hubbard High School in Sedalia. He retired from McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft Company in St. Louis and returned to Marshall in June 2008. He was a Methodist.
He is survived by a daughter, Carla D. Frates of Springfield, Ill., and numerous other relatives.
