Rosa Lee Rosenbaum, 84, of Stockton, died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, in Stockton.
Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Flint Hill Church of Christ, with burial in Gum Springs Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Stockton Nursing Home. Online condolences may be made at www.brumbackfuneralhome.com.
She was born March 17, 1925, the third child of Robert Lee and Hazel (Holman) Daughtrey.
She attended Cane Hill and Stockton High schools, graduating with the class of 1943. She married Melvin L. Rosenbaum Nov. 27, 1946. He preceded her in death May 3, 2003. She had been a bookkeeper for Sac River Valley Bank. She served as a restaurant cook and later served as secretary to the superintendent of Stockton R-1 schools. She retired Oct. 18, 1990. In retirement, she volunteered at Stockton Nursing Home. Over the years, she also was a 4-H leader, enjoyed the local quilting club and was a member of Cane Hill Extension Club and Extension County Chorus. She was an avid reader and supporter of the Stockton library.
Survivors include her children, Melva L. Fidler of Cane Hill, John D. Rosenbaum of Marshall and Karen S. Marks of Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and other relatives.
