Stubblefied is currently working on three requests for proposals. They are for a trail system, basketball courts and a new phone system at the park.
"Once I get those done, I'll put those out; and we'll see what comes back," he said.
Stubblefield spoke briefly about the golf course and maintenance departments, which are both readying for winter, he said.
And overall, it's a slow time at the park, Stubblefield said.
"There's just not a whole heck of a lot going on out here," he said.
In her report, Recreation Supervisor Lori Godsey said summer activities are winding down. Softball is over now, she said, and the grill at the golf house is closed as well.
Godsey said the park's fourth annual haunted house on Halloween weekend was a success.
"We were pretty much busy straight through," she said. "We had a lot of fun doing it."
Soon, Godsey said, she will begin putting up Christmas decorations in the park. She hopes to have them finished and lit by Thanksgiving, and she welcomed donations of lights from the community.
Board President Mike Lamberson and members Harry Ming, Sam Untiedt, Olive Malter, Ronnie Hill and John Angelhow were present at the meeting.
The board will meet again Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 5 p.m.
