A Marshall man suffered minor injuries about 7:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, in a collision on Route YY near U.S. Highway 65, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
David L. Smith, 44, declined treatment, troopers said.
The accident occurred as Smith was northbound when the 1999 Chevrolet he was driving was struck by a southbound 1998 Ford driven by Jose Vazquez-Magana, 22, also of Marshall, according to the report.
No injury was reported for Vazquez-Magana, who was not wearing a safety devise, troopers said.
Smith was wearing a safety device.
Saline County sheriff's deputies and Marshall police officers assisted at the scene.

I wonder if this had anything to do with what looked like an accident scene clean-up last night ON YY highway about a quarter mile or so from the YY/65 intersection. There are still a few car parts on the side of the road there. There were flashing police lights, etc. there for about an hour or so last night. Just curious because it sounds like the same incident, but the location is different.
