The warrants were issued Thursday, Oct. 29.
The two are charged with class C felony burglary in the second degree and class C felony theft/stealing.
According to an incident report filed by Marshall police, a third party promised Fales and Powers he would reward them if they agreed to remove items he "needed" from the Flea Market. The report says the unnamed third party pried open a door to allow Fales to enter the business, while Powers remained outside, keeping watch.
Items removed from the business include video games, cameras, knives, a Wii system and accessories, a laptop computer, bed sheets, a comforter and an Xbox, among other items, valued in total at more than $2,000.
The report also says the party who induced the two youths to perform the thefts rode away on a bicycle with the stolen merchandise, and failed to provide the promised reward.
If convicted of the charges against them, Fales and Powers could serve up to seven years in Missouri Department of Corrections, or up to one year in county jail, and/or up to a $5,000 fine for each charge.
Charges contained in reports provided by law enforcement officials are not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting charges must be presented before a jury, whose duty is to determine if the accused is guilty or not guilty of the charges.
