Bradley J. Deems, 54, of Urbana, formerly of Marshall, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, in Pryor, Okla.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to Saline Animal League. Born Feb. 5, 1955, in Butler, he was the son of the late Harley John Deems and Rena Dale Bradley Deems. On Feb. 24, 1973, he married Virginia Ann Melies, who survives of Marshall. On July 11, 1986, he married Debbie Bell, who survives of the home. He had lived in Urbana the last three years, but spent most of his adult life in Marshall where he was a 1973 graduate of Marshall High School. He served on the Marshall Police Department, was a deputy sheriff in Caldwell County and assisted in the family business, Deems Farm Equipment in Marshall.
In addition to his two former wives, he is survived by one son, Christopher Deems and his wife, April, of Columbia; one daughter, Tracy Deems and her companion, Javier Espinoza, of Marshall; five grandchildren, Bryce and Drake Deems and Cordell, Khloe and Vida Espinoza; one sister, Julie Julien and her husband, Don, of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Marie Deems.
