Santa Fe volleyball: Santa Fe 2, Concordia 1

ALMA -- The Santa Fe volleyball team handed visiting Concordia its first I-70 Conference loss of the season Monday, 25-15, 14-25, 25-21.

It was only the second win in 12 matches for the Lady Chiefs, who were led by senior Lauren Aversman's seven kills and 11 digs and senior Cassie Prior's 14 saves.

Sophomore Lauren Aversman knocked down six shots, pulled up 10 and served three aces in on the Lady Orioles (16-7-3, 5-1 I-70). Juniors Anna Sleeper and Molly Sander combined for 19 of Santa Fe's 21 assists.

The Lady Chiefs (11-8-7, 3-3) will be at Northwest of Hughesville today.
