Houstonia woman hurt in 2-vehicle crash Saturday in Saline County

Sunday, October 11, 2009
A Houstonia woman suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Salint County Saturday morning, Oct. 10, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Victoria L. Londene, 41, was taken by Sweet Springs ambulance to I-70 Community Hospital in Sweet Springs, troopers said.

The accident occurred about 10:07 a.m. at the intersection of Route K and 125th Road, according to the report.

Londene was traveling northbound in a 1999 GMC. Maximilian Bocchine, 24, of Concordia was traveling eastbound in a 2002 Mercury and apparently failed to yield, striking Londene's vehicle in the right front side, troopers said.

Bocchine's vehicle then spun around and struck Londene's vehicle in the rear driver's side.

Londene's vehicle went off the right side of the road, struck a sign and then returned to the roadway.

The investigation continues.
