Slater softball again on hold

STURGEON - Heavy rains in mid-Missouri postponed the semifinal round of the Class 1, District 11 Tournament at Sturgeon for a second time Friday.

The fourth-seeded Slater softball team was originally scheduled to face No. 1 Cairo in a semifinal round Thursday, but that has now been pushed back to what tournament officials hope will be Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Lady Wildcats advanced with an 8-4 first-round win Wednesday over Glasgow.
