On Sept. 15 and 16, a small group of employees from Marshall's Walmart volunteered at Marshall Parks and Recreation Department. They did a lot of painting and also picked up trash and tried to remove graffiti at the Indian Foothills Park skate park.

"It was a tremendous help for us," Director Jeff Stubblefield said.

Because of the employees' generous donation of their time, the Walmart Foundation made a monetary donation of $1,000 to the park as well.

Stubblefield said the funds will go toward winterization of the park, as well as for a team sponsorship.
