Newscope: Marshall school district seeks participation in school improvement committee
A committee is being formed to review the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan for Marshall Public Schools. School board members, administrators, teachers, parents, patrons and students are invited to be a part of this school improvement process, according to district officials.
"The CSIP committee is important to the continued growth and improvement of our district. The input of our stakeholders will be greatly appreciated and is essential to guiding our future direction," said Assistant Superintendent Brandon Russell.
The CSIP committee will examine the current demographic and student performance data, parent perceptual data and other information, for the purpose of reviewing and revising the district mission statement, belief statements, vision and comprehensive school improvement plan.
The first meeting of the CSIP steering committee is planned for 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, in the Marshall High School library. Subsequent meetings are scheduled for November 5 and 19.
