CLINTON -- Kelsey Hilbrenner didn't throw another no-hitter at the Marshall softball team, but she was still dominating Wednesday.

The Odessa senior fired a three-hit shutout, striking out 11, during the Lady Bulldogs' 10-0, five-inning victory in the first round of the Class 3, District 13 Tournament at Clinton -- ending the Lady Owls' season.

When the teams met Sept. 19 in the North Central College Tournament at Trenton, Hilbrenner didn't allow a hit during a 10-1 victory.

Odessa jumped on top with six runs in the bottom of the first inning, getting a pair of three-run hits: a bases-loaded double by junior Alaina Harris and senior Brooke Swearingin's homer.

Senior Chelsey Knabe singled, stole two bases and scored on a grounder in the second.

The Lady 'Dogs capped their scoring with three runs in the third, junior Shelby Moore and sophomore Rilan Smith stroking doubles and junior Taylor Lewellen adding an RBI single.

Marshall got hits in the first three frames -- junior Emily Aldredge's single in the first, a single by senior Chandra Crawford in the second and a double from junior Chelsey Anderson in the third -- but couldn't get a runner past second base.

Hilbrenner closed the game striking out the side in the fourth and fifth innings. Third-seeded Odessa (9-7) is scheduled to play No. 2 seed Boonville in the semifinal round today.

The Lady Owls closed out with a 3-17 overall record, all three wins coming against NCMC foes -- a program high.
