Senior Virginia Hutcherson and sophomore Haley Evans opened the match with 10-0 victories, but the Lady Eagles won three of the remaining four singles tilts -- the exception being a come-from-behind 11-10 (7-2) victory by sophomore Allea Summers at No. 5.
Hutcherson and Evans took No. 1 doubles, 10-2, while Summers and sophomore Skylar Simpson were 10-5 winners at No. 2. The Lady Owls had lost to Grain Valley (12-2) for the first time ever, 7-2, Sept. 19 during the Marshall Tournament.
The Lady Owls (15-1) are scheduled to close out the regular season today at Jefferson City.
