Sweet Springs volleyball: Sweet Springs 2, Wentworth 0

SWEET SPRINGS -- The Sweet Springs volleyball team had a fairly easy time of it Monday during its 25-14, 25-16 non-conference win over the Wentworth Military Academy (3-13-1).

The Lady Greyhounds had more aces (13) than kills (9) or digs (9), with sophomore Brittany Higgins dropping four serves and freshman Rebecca Tyler and junior Taylor Loges adding two each.

Senior Jodie Harris led the Sweet Springs offense with three spikes, with senior Kathleen Tyler providing four assists.

The Lady Greyhounds (7-4) have a much stiffer challenge tonight when they head to Concordia, which Monday defeated Orrick to remain one of two teams unbeaten in I-70 Conference play.
