The Greyhounds held a 354-75 advantage in rushing yardage and allowed only four first downs, getting the game's only two turnovers on interceptions.
Armstrong gained 26 yards and senior Tyler Dohrman added 17 to set up the first of two 1-yard touchdown sneaks for senior quarter Billy Martin. The second came after Armstrong ran 35 yards on a fake punt.
Senior Kyle Hollrah returned a pick 30 yards for a score and Armstrong dashed 47 yards with a minute left in the first half for a 27-0 lead. Armstrong had TD carries of 24 and 71 yards during the third period.
The Cougars (0-6, 0-6 I-70) were led by junior Jake Kemple's 68 rushing yards.
Sweet Springs (3-3, 3-3) will close out league play Friday at ninth-ranked Wellington-Napoleon.
Marceline 42, Slater 7
MARCELINE -- Seventh-ranked Marceline scored 21 first-quarter points Friday and cruised to 42-7 Lewis and Clark Conference home win over Slater.
Senior Matthew Bell sprinted 32 yards for a touchdown and junior Matthew Shoop had scoring runs of 25 and 15 yards during the opening period for the Tigers. A 2-yard dive by 240-pound senior Jerald Morlock made it 28-0 four minutes into the second quarter.
Senior Kyle Bixenman added TD runs of 12 and 27 yards for Marceline (6-0, 4-0 L&C), which will play another unbeaten team -- No. 7 Westran -- for the league crown Friday.
Junior Zach Sullivan sneaked the ball over from a yard out in the closing minute for the Wildcats' lone touchdown.
Slater (2-4, 0-2), which was limited to 41 yards in total offense, will play Friday at Braymer.
Santa Fe 28, Windsor 26
WINDSOR -- Santa Fe scored three straight touchdowns and held on at the end Friday for a 28-26 I-70 Conference decision at Windsor.
The Chiefs were down a score before junior Ross Tieman scored the second of his three TDs with 1:30 to go before halftime, tying the game at 14-14 when he also ran in the two-point conversion.
A 48-yard Tieman bootleg set up his 1-yard sneak in the third period and senior Josh Livingston scampered 57 yards for a 28-14 touchdown during the final frame.
The Greyhounds (3-3, 3-3 I-70) scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns, but couldn't convert extra-point attempts.
Tieman gained 190 yards on the ground and Livingston had 148 yards for Santa Fe (2-4, 1-2), which plays at winless Crest Ridge on Friday.
