Two probation violations arose out of earlier guilty pleas by Gilmore, one for class C felony felonious restraint and class D felony resisting arrest for a felony in 2007 and another for class D felony knowingly burning or exploding in 2006.
Gilmore was given probation of five years and four years respectively for these cases.
The sentences handed down Monday are for seven years and four years, respectively, to run concurrently and each subject to a 120-day shock incarceration.
Gilmore was charged with the probation violations when he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic assault and property damage in July.
According to an incident report filed by Marshall police, Gilmore assaulted a Marshall woman at her home after breaking through the front door of the residence.
During the altercation, the report says, Gilmore pushed the woman onto a couch, "causing her head to strike and break" a window. The report says Gilmore continued to punch the woman until her father, who had been sleeping in a bedroom in the house, came to her assistance.
Gilmore is scheduled for a hearing on those charges Wednesday, Sept. 30.
