Nelson woman hurt in 2-vehicle crash Wednesday

A Nelson woman suffered minor injuries early Wednesday, Sept. 30, in a two-vehicle crash in rural Saline County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Brenda L. Peeples declined treatment at the scene, troopers said.

The crash occurred at 7:05 a.m. as Peeples was driving a 2004 Dodge north on Route DD 70 feet east of Route H.

Peeples apparently crossed the center line and struck a 1999 Dodge driven by Robert J. Doty, 68, of Nelson, troopers said.

No injury was reported for Doty. Both Doty and Peeples were wearing safety devices, according to the report.

The investigation continues.
