Ernest Nottmeier Jr., 76, of Emma, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at Long Shoal Campground near Warsaw.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Emma, with Rev. Walter Snyder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Memorials may be made to the church. An online guest book is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Dec. 31, 1932, in rural Concordia, he was the son of the late Ernest Nottmeier Sr. and Nora Langkrahr Nottmeier. On May 19, 1984, he married Barbara Arvieux Dillon, who survives of the home. He was a surveyor for several years, was employed for 18 years by Missouri Department of Transportation and was a farmer until retirement. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Debbie Bailey of Sedalia, Janet Dillon of Sedalia and Belinda Nicholson of Sweet Springs; four grandsons; one granddaughter; nine great-granddaughters; four great-grandsons; one sister, Bonnie Bohlman of Concordia; and a nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and William.
