Lucille Bultmann, age 81, of Marshall, Missouri, formerly of Carrollton, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Indian Meadows Specialty Hospital in Overland Park, Kan.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday Sept. 26, 2009, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Carrollton, with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Carrollton. The family suggests donations be made to the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) Foundation in her memory.

She was born Montie Lucille Duvall Nov. 14, 1927, to Mary and James Duvall. She was raised in Marshall and attended St. Peter School. She graduated from Carrollton High School. She married Arthur Bultmann Jr. Feb. 2, 1947. They spent close to 50 years farming in southern Carroll County. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carrollton. After their retirement, she and her husband worked for 14 years at their woodworking business. Her favorite thing to do was play and write country music, which she did her for her entire adult life. She earned a number of awards from the Songwriter's Association, and had several songs professionally recorded in a Nashville studio. She was an avid bowler, winning many awards and trophies in the league and in state and local tournaments. She also had a ceramic and craft shop in her home for many years.

Lucille is survived by her husband, Arthur Bultmann Jr., of the home; one sister, Betty Ahnefeld, of Carrollton; one brother, James Duvall of Carrollton; nine children, Bette Gorrell of Marshall, Rose Ann Creason of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Lois Trowbridge of Kansas City, Terry Bultmann of Kearney, Connie Leach of New Franklin, Donnie Bultmann of Carrollton, Cathy Kelley of Prairie Village, Kan., Kenny Bultmann of Carrollton, and Larry Bultmann of Smithville; 26 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Ellen Furry; one son, Arthur Wayne Bultmann; one grandson, Matthew Rodenberg; and one granddaughter, Emmalee Bultmann.
