Red Cross Pharmacy on the Marshall square is administering flu shots from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. No appointment is necessary to get a vaccine, though there is some minimal paperwork involved.
At its other location at 941 S. Cherokee, Suite 1, Red Cross Pharmacy will give flu shots from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Red Cross also plans to hold flu shot clinics, though dates for those events have not yet been set.
The pharmacy at Marshall's Walmart will administer flu shots on Oct. 7 and 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in Marshall, City Pharmacy in Slater and Sweet Springs Pharmacy are not carrying the vaccine this year.
Flu shots cost $25, except for patients with Medicare Part D, who pay nothing.

Your article makes it sound like the pharmacies are the only place where you can get a flu shot. Missouri Valley Physicians had a flu shot clinic last Saturday and they have the vaccine available for their patients.
