Newscope: "Saline County Heroes" book to honor area veterans

For the first time, "The Marshall Messenger" is publishing a book honoring area veterans called "Saline County Heroes." The pictorial keepsake book will include images and brief captions, telling the collective story of servicemen and --women from Saline County.

Photo submissions from the community are welcomed and will be accepted through Friday, Oct. 2, at no cost. The book is available through advance order only at a cost of $13. Orders will be accepted through Oct. 2, and will be available for pick-up on Wednesday, Nov. 11. A portion of the proceeds from each book sale will go toward Christmas packages to be sent to military personnel.
