St. Joseph man hurt in 1-vehicle crash in Saline County

A St. Joseph truck driver suffered moderate injuries Thursday evening, Sept. 17, in a one-vehicle crash near Sweet Springs, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Michael L. Hacker, 47, was taken by ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, troopers said.

The crash occurred about 8:14 p.m. when the 2009 Peterbilt driven by Hacker went off the south outer road along Interstate 70 near Sweet Springs and came to rest on its side, according to the report.

Hacker was not wearing a safety device, trooper said.

The investigation continues.
