Sweet Springs volleyball: Sweet Springs 2, Calhoun 0

SWEET SPRINGS -- The Sweet Springs volleyball team smashed visiting Calhoun (0-4), 25-15, 25-17, for a non-conference home win Tuesday.

The Lady Greyhounds scored 16 of their 50 points on aces, including five from junior Haley Hunter and four by senior Kristin Jones -- who also had five kills, second on the team to senior Jodie Harris' four.

Sweet Springs (6-4) will rest its varsity until next Tuesday's I-70 Conference opener at Wellington-Napoleon, but the JV will play Thursday at Malta Bend.
