Junior Molly Sander had 11 kills as the Lady Chiefs came from behind to defeat No. 6 Green Ridge, 13-25, 25-19, 25-21.
"This was a great match-up for us," remarked Santa Fe head coach Stacey Thomas. The Lady Tigers (2-1) "made is have to make the decision to play consistently and at a high level."
Sophomore Lauren Zitelman had 11 digs and blocked two shots, although deflected or altered several others. Sophomore Lindsey Pemberton had a career-high seven kills and senior Lauren Aversman contributed six spikes and 13 saves.
The Lady Chiefs followed that up with a 26-24, 25-20 decision over rival Concordia (1-3).
Sander and junior Anna Sleeper combined for 11 kills and 11 assists and Aversman had 10 digs for Santa Fe.
The Lady Chiefs (5-0) host Crest Ridge to begin their I-70 Conference campaign today.
