Santa Fe football: Santa Fe 22, Wentworth 20

ALMA -- Santa Fe denied a potential game-tying two-point conversion Friday to hold off Wentworth Military Academy (1-2) for a 22-20 non-conference home win.

No further details were available at press time on the Chiefs' first victory of the season. Santa Fe (1-2) will begin its I-70 Conference campaign Friday by hosting top-ranked Orrick, the two-time defending Class 1 state champion.
