Santa Fe volleyball: Santa Fe 2, Lone Jack 1

ALMA -- The fifth-ranked Santa Fe volleyball team overcame a slow start Tuesday, but rallied to pull out a 15-25, 25-22, 25-22 non-conference home victory over Lone Jack.

Junior Molly Sander paced the Lady Chiefs' offense with seven kills and seven assists, while sophomore Lauren Zitelman dropped in six shots. Senior Lauren Aversman provided her typical steady play with five spikes, six digs and two blocks.

Santa Fe recorded 10 aces against the Lady Mules (2-1), junior Anna Sleeper and senior Kinsey Boland combining for 10. Sleeper also had three kills, five digs and six sets.

The Lady Chiefs (3-0) are off until Monday, when they play in the Green Ridge Triangular.
