Sophomore Alex Thomas ran for 125 yards on five carries, two of them -- breakaways of 47 and 68 yards -- coming in the first quarter. Barr hit senior Jon Gilliam for 35 yards and senior Tyler Dunlap plunged in from 4 yards out during the Coyotes' 26-0 first quarter.
Gilliam's 43-yard interception return during the first minute of the second quarter and a 64-yard sprint by junior Kable Ragsdale made it 40-0.
The Wildcats scored with 41 seconds left in the first half when junior Dee Scott raced 79 yards with a pass from junior Cody Skinner.
However, the Purple couldn't get close. Gilliam caught a 20-yard touchdown pass in the third period and Barr bootlegged for 6 yards to cap the scoring with nine minutes remaining in the game.
Paris (1-1, 1-0 L&C) racked up 373 total yards of offense, Gilliam catching seven passes for 137 yards.
Slater was limited to 160 yards on offense, nearly half on Scott's catch. The 'Cats (1-1, 0-1) will head to Knox County for a non-conference tilt Friday.
