Wanda Joyce Pannell Saylor, 69, of Marshall, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Mark Gooden officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Blue Lick Cemetery south of Marshall. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born Aug. 3, 1940, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Roland Grant Pannell and Margaret (Maggie) Shannahan Pannell Scott. On Dec. 29, 1957, she married Junior Saylor, who survives of the home. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a Christian.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Amanda Day of LaPorte City, Iowa, and April Deems and her husband, Chris, of Columbia; seven grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Ussery and her husband, Jack, of Marshall; one brother, Ronald Pannell and his wife, Joyce, of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Bill Scott, and one sister in infancy.
