Franklin D. "Frank" Pogue, 72, of Marshall, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Marshall, with Todd Pogue, Mike Parris and Rev. Wayne Doolin officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Born Nov. 10, 1936, in Redford, he was the son of the late Earl Pogue and Doll Chitwood Pogue. On Sept. 28, 1957, he married Emily Hessel, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall since 1978, moving from St. Louis, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Marshall. He retired from ConAgra Foods.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Toni Bryson and her husband, Roger, of Slater; one son, Todd Pogue and his wife, Cindy, of Columbia, Ill.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl Cox of Park Hills and Yeula Hawn of Carlyle, Ill.; two brothers, Anthony Pogue of Redford and Mike Pogue of Ellington; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Lawson; one grandson, David Lawson; and one brother, David Pogue.
