Wilbur Cedric Green, 70, of rural Arrow Rock, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with Rev. Jerry Scott officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Old Lamine Cemetery in Cooper County. Memorials may be made to Olivet Freewill Baptist Church or American Cancer Society. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born July 5, 1939, in Lamine, he was the son of the late William Elmer Green and Ella Taylor Green. On June 30, 1975, he married Carol Lee Estes, who preceded him in death on Nov. 5, 1983. He lived in Saline County most of his life, worked at Cook Nursery in Marshall and was a farmer. He was a member of Olivet Freewill Baptist Church in Marshall.

Survivors include two sons, William Cedric Green and his wife, Iris, of rural Arrow Rock and Ronald D. "Bodie" Green of Marshall; one daughter, Lesa Ann Diehm and her husband, Mike, of Marshall; 17 grandchildren, Rachel Stewart, Rebecca Lee, Sara Lee, Jacob Diehm, Olivia Diehm, Ashlee Ibarra, Cristina Ibarra, Isabel Ibarra, Grace Diehm, Codie Green, Haley Green, Chelsey Green, Carolslea Green, Abigail Green, Kathrine N. Green, Matthew Green and Mark Green; one great-granddaughter, Sydney Diehm; one brother, Virgil Green of rural Arrow Rock; one sister, Susie Smiley of Amarillo, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Rhonda Lynn Lee and Vonda Green; four sisters, Otha Mae Crane, Elsie Hogges, Ella Pace and Helen Twitchell; and six brothers, Lester Green, Robert Green, Calvin Green, Lawrence Green, J.L. "Junior" Green and Freddy Green.
