Warrant issued for Maysville woman on bad check charge

An arrest warrant for a Maysville woman was issued Friday, July 24, in connection with a bad check written Feb. 19 to a Marshall business.

Mary J. Hampton, 27, is currently in custody in DeKalb County jail, also on pending bad check charges, and has outstanding warrants in Daviess, Clinton and Buchanan counties on similar charges.

Bond has been set at $1,000, cash or surety.

Charges contained in reports provided by law enforcement officials are not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting charges must be presented before a jury, whose duty is to determine if the accused is guilty or not guilty of the charges.
