Ida Jane Rhoton, 84, of Spencer, Ind., formerly of Marshall, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, Ind.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com.
Born April 3, 1925, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late William B. Lynch and Jennie A. Mull Lynch. She was a graduate of Marshall High School and had lived in Spencer the past three years, moving from Marshall. On Aug. 12, 1972, she married Paul D. Rhoton, who preceded her in death on May 3, 1988. She was a secretary with Brooks Truck Line and Orscheln Truck Line. Later she and her husband owned and operated Paul Rhoton Orchard in Waverly.
Survivors include one son, Steve Lipari of Spencer; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Harper of Sheridan, Wyo.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Lynch in infancy and William E. "Bill" Lynch.
