Independence man charged with felony driving while revoked after arrest in Saline County

Ronald J. Pycke, 62, of Independence, is in custody at Saline County Justice Facility on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.

Pycke was charged Saturday, July 4, with class D felony operating a motor vehicle while revoked after he was questioned by Missouri Highway Patrol officers at the scene of a traffic accident in Slater.

Pycke has several prior convictions for alcohol-related offenses. He pleaded guilty to second-degree assault while operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resulting in injury, a class C felony, in March 2003. He was most recently convicted as an "aggravated offender" of class C felony driving while intoxicated in January 2008.
