2 KC residents suffer minor injuries in crash on I-70 Thursday

Two Kansas City residents suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 70 in Saline County late Thursday, July 2, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Geoffrey L. Nurrenberg, 24, and Jennifer L. Mundwiller, 24, declined treatment at the scene, troopers said.

The accident occurred about 10:55 p.m. as a 2000 Kawasaki driven by Nurrenberg was westbound near the 85 mile marker and struck a trailer in the passing lane that had been involved in a previous accident, according to the report.

Both were wearing safety devices, troopers said.
