Interchange and pavement repairs scheduled for I-70 in Saline County

The Missouri Department of Transportation announced Wednesday, July 1, that crews will begin interchange and pavement repair operations next week to various locations on Interstate 70 in Saline County.

Pavement repairs will take place Monday, July 6, through Thursday, July 9, from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day, according to a MoDOT news release.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane at various locations on the eastbound lanes between mile markers 67 and 85 and on the westbound lanes between mile markers 65 and 78.

Interchange repairs will begin Monday, July 6, at 6:00 a.m. and will end each day at 5:00 p.m. Work is expected to be completed within two weeks, MoDOT officials said.

The project will work west beginning at the Route J interchange and will end at the Route Y interchange.

U.S. Highway 65 will not be affected.

The following interchanges to be repaired are listed in order:

--Route J: Ramps will be open.

--Route YY: Ramps will be open.

--Route EE/K: Ramps will be closed.

--Route 127: Ramps will be

--Route Y: Ramps will be closed.

MoDOT officials urge motorists to exercise caution and pay close attention when traveling in the work zones. If the interchange is closed, motorists must find an alternative route.

All projects are weather dependent and could be delayed.
